Annuity Selling System: A Plan For SellingAre you doing your clients a disservice? Are you letting them drown in a world of financial insecurities when you have the life jacket in you hands. How many of the people that are your clients or are in your circle of influence still have money in banks drawing less than two percent interest on their "safe" savings? Bank rates are the lowest they have been in decades and yet prices are going up and up. The value of our individual dollars is shrinking. We owe it to our friends, clients and acquaintances to help them keep up with their shrinking dollar. In addition taxes have not gone down so people with money in banks or CDs are losing money every day. What are you doing to help them? Do you have an annuity selling system that reaches out to them? And, by annuity selling system I do not mean some expensive program purchased from a seminar or on-line. What I am referring to is a personal annuity selling system that is built upon your personality and the personalties of your clients. In my personal annuity selling system I have identified the people with I most relate. It is simple to do, go through your client list and pick the ones that have bought annuities from you. They are the ones that relate most to you. Look for trends in this list. The trends will establish the demographics for your annuity selling system. For instance, are most of your clients retired or of retirement age? How old were they when they purchased their annuity? Now you have an age group to focus on. Look at their available assets. This is probably the net worth area where you feel most comfortable. Keep searching for trends until you have developed your ideal candidate. Do not go overboard on this but develop parameters for your clients. Your annuity selling system will need a marketing plan. Some people prefer the mass mailing approach. I have always had the best success with the referral method. Choose the method that works best for you and then develop the system to support it and your work. Get organized. All systems, and especially an annuity selling system works best when it is organized. Where do you do most of your work? If you are at home create an office and establish office hours. It is your job, you need the time and space to do it. Finally, how many annuities do you own? If you do not believe enough in the product to own one yourself you many want to consider a different product. If your annuity selling system has not sold you, how do you expect to sell to anyone else. |
